Week 1 - A new Life in ChristWell done! So you have taken your first steps into a brand new life - you have committed your life to Jesus Christ. So what happens next? Work your way through this discipleship course and you may just find out! Week 2 - Being a discipleMost people like to think that they are in control of their lives. But the Christian has a different attitude. When you accept Jesus as your Saviour you become His disciple. Week 3 - Spirit filled lifeGod has called us to be a holy people. He wants us to be pure in all we think, say and do; He calls us to be slaves of righteousness. That may seem like an impossible command but God has not left us to struggle and battle with our sinful nature alone. He has already provided the answer and given us a helper, His Holy Spirit. Week 4 - PrayerFor some people prayer is a ritual that they go through every morning or night. For some it is a list of requests or complaints. For others it is a desperate plea as the last resort in a crisis. For the Christian prayer means far more. It is the way our relationship with God grows and develops. Week 5 - God's word is aliveThe Bible is the world's number one best selling book. It is estimated that 44 million Bibles are bought every year. The Bible has been translated either in whole or in part into over 2500 languages. Over the past 2000 years many political leaders and parties have tried to destroy the Bible and banish it from existence but they have never succeeded. Today, the Bible is more popular than ever and is considered by many as the most precious book they possess. Week 6 - Being temptedBecoming a follower of Jesus means a whole new way of life. However, we still have to live in a world whose standards and values are very different from God's. Many of the attractions of the world may seem fun and easily obtainable, but in reality they cause pain, misery and ultimately separation from God. DownloadWeek 7 - Knowing God's willAs disciples of Jesus we should be seeking to live His way, choosing His will every day. The wonderful news is that God wants you to know His will just as much as you want to know it! Week 8 - Sharing your faithThere is nothing that feels quite as exciting and fulfilling as sharing the gospel with someone and seeing them turn to Jesus; knowing that you have had a part to play in something that will last for eternity. |
